Children learn spoken language through listening years before they learn to read. Phonics taps into that existing skill by teaching the sound-to-letter map - which is exactly why systematic synthetic phonics produces faster, more confident readers than whole-word or memorisation-based approaches.

Online phonics classes are live small-group sessions where children learn to read by mapping letters to sounds. At Nino, classes run on Zoom with a certified phonics teacher and a maximum of 6 students per batch, designed specifically for kids ages 3 to 6.
The ideal age to start phonics is between 3 and 6 years, when the brain is most receptive to sound-letter patterns. Children aged 7 or 8 still benefit significantly if they are struggling readers. Earlier starts produce faster, more confident readers.
Classes run 3 times per week, 30 to 45 minutes each, on Zoom in small batches of maximum 6 students. Every session covers a new sound or pattern with songs, blending practice, and reading aloud. Students get downloadable worksheets and class recordings.
We use systematic synthetic phonics - the same evidence-based method mandated by the UK Rose Review (2006) and used in Australian primary schools. Teachers are certified in Jolly Phonics or THRASS approaches and follow the proven s-a-t-p-i-n teaching sequence.
Pricing varies based on batch size, frequency, and duration. Book a free demo class and our team will share the current fee structure on WhatsApp or email. We offer monthly, quarterly, and annual plans with flexible scheduling and time-zone friendly batches.
For ages 3 to 4, light parental support during the first 2 to 3 sessions helps your child settle in. Children aged 5 and above usually attend independently after the first week. Parents receive weekly progress reports either way.
Phonics is the teaching method behind reading. It maps sounds (phonemes) to letters (graphemes), giving children a reliable decoding system. Reading is the outcome - once a child masters phonics rules, decoding new words and reading whole sentences becomes natural.
Yes. Phonics actually helps children who speak another language at home transition to English reading faster. Our teachers are experienced with multilingual learners and adapt their pace based on each child\'s home-language background. We have students from many countries learning English as a second or third language.
Most children read their first CVC words (cat, sun, pig) within 4 to 6 weeks of consistent classes. Independent reading of simple storybooks typically develops over 3 to 6 months, depending on the child\'s starting age and home practice.
Yes. Every class comes with downloadable worksheets, a digital phonics chart, and a recording of the live session. Recordings stay accessible for 30 days so your child can revisit any class. Worksheets are designed for 10-15 minutes of daily home practice.
